The Bible IS NOT one linear book written by one author. It is actually a library of 66 uniquely crafted ancient narratives, poems, letters, prophecy, and historical books written by over 40 different authors in collaboration with God's Spirit over a period of about 1,500 years. It is arranged by genre and era's of history and can be confusing when read through a modern lens, void of its ancient cultural, historical, and geographical background.

 

Unfortunately, modern culture treats the Bible as more of a quick reference guide for positive quotes than a deep body of work needing to be studied with the bigger picture in view.

 

The way we moderns tend to read the Bible is equivalent to putting a puzzle together by first trying to connect all the inner pieces before having the outer edges framed up. Without the proper framework and bigger perspective, it’s much harder to see and understand what’s really going on. We live in a soundbite world and have been taught to first look at the details without first having a proper understanding of the bigger picture.

 

Our Biblical Foundations Courses are designed to change that for you. Organized by 12 Biblical Era's, the goal of these courses is to provide you with a deeper understanding of the larger biblical storyline, with a focus on experiential learning and spiritual growth always in sight.

 

With all its many authors, genres, cultures, and the enormous amount of time it took to write, the Bible is a fusion of divine encounters between God and people. At its core, it teaches us what it means to be human, telling one consistent and unifying message that points to Jesus.
